About me

I’m no stranger to the Tri-State Pacific Northwest. I research and teach largely as a scholar of the Americas, with an emphasis on political cultures, formal institutions, and histories of race & immigration which is captured in my dissertation titled States of Detention: A Comparative Historical Analysis of Migration Crises to the United States. Most days I attempt to exercise mind, body, and spirit in both novel and routine ways. My greatest joy is working with others as a colleague, mentor/teacher, and student. Please feel free contact me anytime to chat about anything and everything!
